TBOE May Upd8


Good morrow everyone, today I have an upd8 for The Bondage of Eliza wherein Eliza is made to play the role of the enslaving Cognitor in the cult's dungeons. Here comes the cliff notes:

    Slaves
  • There are slaves that occasionally appear amongst the dungeon. They can be slapped in order to bind them
  • Slaves can be bound using a random selection of restraints in your inventory
  • Binding a slave has a time limit before the slave breaks free of your grasp
  • Binding a slave has no mechanical impact apart from one interaction described below
  • Left alone, slaves will head for the exit. And so they can be followed to find the exit
  • Enemies will also attempt to bind slaves
  • If you are near a slave, enemies will prioritise binding the other slave
    Cognitor track
  • Defeating a Recruiter takes 4 hits, and drops a new item: Cognitor Mask
  • When wearing the Cognitor Mask, the home control panel allows access to the Cognitor track
  • While in the Cognitor track, you may be requested to bind a slave on that floor with a Failure Cage, which is provided. Doing so earns Cult Credit
  • At 25, 50 or 75 Cult Credit, the home control panel can be asked to provide the other pieces of the Cognitor uniform: Boots, Gloves and Suit
  • At 100 Cult Credit, an ending becomes accessible in the dungeon
  • Cognitor track can be retired from at the cost of all Cognitor garb currently worn
    General
  • Maid track can be exited by finding a Convincing Letter and showing it to Jean
  • Pony track can be exited by removing all pony gear
  • Dropped items no longer disappear forever, and instead appear on the floor so you can pick them up again if you choose
  • Lootboxes drop items on the floor instead of placing them directly in your inventory
  • Home control panel shows you the current ending track if one is active
  • When volunteering for pony track, the Jockey deadlocks one pony item
  • Fashionista now has a new item, Hobble Skirt
  • Television can be used to view endings already earned
  • Cameras occasionally pop up from the walls to record your antics for the Cult's archives
  • Item icons show if the item is locked, and with which type of lock
  • HP and Stamina bars have unique sprites
  • Button sprites improved, no longer cut off weirdly in a lot of cases
  • Some props at home can be examined for flavour text. A couple have different text based on bindings
  • Disabled auto-updating of translation files
    Fixes
  • Fixed visual bug with some items
  • If you meet all the conditions to enter stables before entering pony track, you are immediately sent to the stables
  • Improved enemy behaviour when they run low on restraints

So apparently, after activating a bad end, you are expected to go back to the base, use the Control Panel to put out the Hourglass you received during the bad ending, and use that to "Time Travel" in order to remove permalocked equipment? Is that right?

That essentially is a New Game +, as it resets your money, keys, and crystals to 0, removes any Deadkeys/Deadkey pieces from your inventory/wardrobe, and resets your current equipment to the Control Suit, whether you were wearing it at the time or not. You keep anything else in your wardrobe that wasn't a Deadkey or Deadkey piece, and you keep the furniture you had in the Control Panel (minus the Hourglass).
