TBOE April Upd8


Wherein life is made more qualityish

Today I have an upd8 for The Bondage of Eliza with a number of slight improvements and tweaks to quality of life and polish:

    General
  • Crates can be pushed as well as pulled
  • Occasionally a crate will be transparent such that its contents are visible
  • Pony ending activates at end of any floor with permalocked gear, not just stables
  • Occasionally you can come across another slave in the dungeon, who has a lopsided deal for you
  • Control suit is easier to remove
  • Tentaclings used to spawn in place of consumables - this no longer happens by default. Instead that happens only under the influence of a new curse
  • Recruiters now give Eliza a Failure Cage rather than any maid items
  • Fashionistas now have a Distracting Monocle, which dampens intelligence in a way described below
    Ending tracks
  • Ending tracks are the series of actions and events that culminates in an ending. They are the Maid track and Pony track. They have been reimagined to be voluntary, and for progress along them - gaining the relevant items - to be a reward rather than a punishment as was previously the case
  • The maid track is the path to the maid ending, and must now be entered into manually by first examining some detritus then talking to Jean about it
  • Activating this track enables the Recruiter to give Eliza one maid item. The rest can be gained through cleaning tasks with a 50% chance
  • The pony track is the path to the pony ending, and must now be volunteered for via the Jockey
  • While not on the pony track, the Jockey will not pester and can be safely ignored
  • At present, one track cannot be interacted with nor entered while the other is active, and the only way to untrack is to complete the current track
    Stats
  • The game can be paused, and the pause menu now has a stats screen
  • Solve removal speed is a stat that decreases with intelligence dampening effects, it makes some complex items harder to remove. This affects mostly things like chains, ropes, things with laces, items that require a bit of focus to address
  • Eliza's comfortable heel height gradually adjusts while wearing heels, such that their speed penalty decreases. Conversely this means that walking flatfoot will be harder after such an adjustment
    Fixes
  • Pressing ESC in the wardrobe UI no longer removes on of the two panels
  • Added some missing localisation keys

I can't seem to be a way to end the maid path. After getting all the maid equipment, nothing seems to trigger an ending like on the pony path.

  • Cleaning everything on stages doesn't do anything that seems like it will trigger an ending
  • Not cleaning everything on stages just causes random bindings to get equipped between stages.
  • Jean didn't react differently when I had all of the maid equipment on.
  • The Jockey doesn't trigger the ending, not that I really thought they would but I wanted to be thorough.
  • The Recruiter just seems to glitch out and disappear along with Eliza when it makes contact now. My guess is this is happening because it is trying to add the Failure Cage, which also seems to unequip everything besides the Control Suit. However, it is failing to do so because the Maid Visor (which seems to blur the cleaning game and make it MUCH harder) is currently deadlocked, and the game is probably freaking out because of this.

How do remove the permalocked pony gear after the pony ending so you can see the other path on the same file?

how do the endings work

HOw does the secret editor work? anything i do in there doesnt show ingame
