TBOE June Upd8


Today I have an upd8 for The Bondage of Eliza wherein lie some new item removal minigames, a few more items, and an array of bugfixes

    Fresh minigames
  • Chain minigame, for chain items. You must break a certain number of links of the chain by aiming a screwdriver at their weak points. Poor accuracy will cause failure, and taking too long will also fail to remove the item!
  • Spinner minigame, for latex items. There's a spinny wheel wherein one slice is occupied by a key. Use the correct timing to hit the key slice.
  • Balance minigame, for the new money items. A set of scales constantly drifts to one side, and for a few seconds you must throw money on the other side to keep the scales in balance.


 

Tweaks
  • Robo claw is less likely to choose archetype items e.g. maid or cognitor items
  • Lootbox, when removing an item, chooses in the same way as robo claws: preferring where possible to avoid clothes, beneficial items, or archetype items
  • Cognitor ending requires 80 credits rather than 100
  • Slave binding UI now rotates such that using left/right to select item makes more sense
  • Binding a slave with anything produces a little money
  • Tape guys have significantly shorter vision range
  • Esc key exits from save menu
  • Coin SFX is actually loud enough to hear now
  • Coin piles have a chance to spawn a new enemy, the Capitalist. This enemy has unusual mechanics which I will leave as an exercise for the player to discover. The Capitalist has new money items:
    • Coin eyes, they go in your eyes and obviously cause blindness
    • Moneygag, which is a money bag for the mouth
    • Golden handcuffs, which don't look golden in this game's monochrome art style
    • Cash straps, which go on the legs
    • Banknote bra, in which the cult holds some of its money. Not money for Eliza to spend >:(
    Fixes
  • Fixed long skirt erroneously showing behind some items
  • Fixed ability to remove locked items by donning an item in the same slot
  • Fixed some cases of props from home appearing in the dungeon
  • Fixed scattered props - detritus, slaves, etc - spawning in walls
  • Fixed crash when twice entering the room in which a slave spawned
  • Fixed recruiter failing to track players twixt rooms
  • Fixed recruiter targeting other slaves
  • Fixed slaves picking up consumables
  • Fixed slave not playing walking animation
  • Fixed slaves spawning with illegal items
  • Fixed player being forever hidden if leaving floor near a slave
  • Fixed lootbox drops appearing in walls
  • Fixed some unreliability around saving which floor you're on
  • Fixed enemies playing walking animation when slowed to 0
  • Fixed bug causing heel height acclimatisation to happen far too slowly
  • Fixed timed blocks reappearing if something is atop them, causing it to get stuck
  • Fixed some cases of interactable tooltips appearing behind things
  • Fixed enemies grabbing the player eternally if the player leaves the room mid-grab
  • Fixed situation where status effects would still have an effect even after expiring
  • Fixed repeatedly pressing the inventory button spawning many copies of inventory UI
  • Fixed some items being in wrong slots
